"Senior Citizen's Day"
Seniors 65 and older $1 off gate admission 11am - 5pm.
11am - Gates open to the public

11am - 3pm - free health screening and my medicine list

5:00 & 7:00pm - Minnesota Mounted Shooters - Horse riding and shooting demonstrations, with the theme of a western reenactment. The riders shoot black powered blank cartridges from .4r caliber pistols, at balloons, and are scored on accuracy and time. (no live ammunition or bird shot is used)

"Kids' Day"

11:00 - 5:00pm - 12 and under, free gate admission

11:00am - 7:00pm - Don't miss the Junior Farmer Challenge - for details click on to Special Attractions

12:00pm - 2:00pm - Employees of Lowe's in Hibbing will help your child make their own stick horse which they can ride in the Stick Horse Rodeo.

12:30 - Conclusion - Make it and take it bird houses - Chapter 119 National Association of Civilian Conservation Corps. Alumni members and Lowe's employees will be on hand to help your children make a bird house that they will take home with them.

2:00pm - Lowe's Stick Horse Rodeo - Cheer your child on as they their stick horse to victory and prizes.

2:00pm - Conclusion - Area law enforcement K-9 units demonstrate obedience, agility, and search techniques - North Arena

5:00pm - Meet the Minis - Children will get to meet the miniature pulling teams and decide which team they want to root for. This event will be held in the South Arena.

7:00pm - Miniature Horse Pull - Pound for pound, these little guys can pull more than the big draft horse.

8:00pm - "Whiskey Johnson" on the Lowe's Stage

Don't Miss the Junior Farmer Challenge.

Friday & Saturday 11:00am-7:00pm
Children ages 3 to 8 will receive a free Activity Booklet when they enter through the Main Gate. The book will lead them through five different animal areas where they will learn about the animals, and participate in a special Junior Farmer activity or craft. When they complete an activity they receive a special sticker for Their Activity Booklet. When they have collected all five stickers they receive a special "I'm a Jr. Farmer" ribbon. This is a FREE program for 3 to 8 year olds
